Experience some of the best duck hunting in the world, right here in Kansas, at Carter’s Big Island Hunt Club! This is over-water Kansas mallard hunting at its finest.
Depending on the hunting situation, blinds vary from spacious Koehler and Concealed Comfort pit blinds to Osceola skid blinds and Blindspot Outdoors LLC blinds, sometimes simply hugging a nearby pin oak. Most hunts are conducted over water in Flooded Timber, Corn, Milo, various Millets, shallow water Soybeans, Buckwheat, Rice and various desirable Aquatic vegetation species, Oxbows, and even River Hunting. We use large decoy spreads with plentiful motion, but we will move to dry-field set-ups as duck movement dictates.
Carter’s Big Island Kansas duck hunting packages include half-day hunts, morning and or afternoon., focusing primarily on over-water mallard hunting on privately owned and intensively managed duck properties that are home to Kansas’ largest flooded green timber area.

Gold Package
Guided Kansas Duck Hunts
$850 Per Hunter Per Day
maximum of 7 duck hunters per group
Our hunting packages include half-day hunts, morning and or afternoon. Depending on the hunting situation, blinds vary from spacious Koehler and Concealed Comfort pit blinds to Osceola skid blinds and Blindspot Outdoors LLC blinds, sometimes simply hugging a nearby pin oak. We own and manage these spots year round, strictly for waterfowl. Our pricing reflects the time and effort put in year round to manage our land and provide the best habitat possible for wintering waterfowl….specifically Mallards!
Hunting Package Info
- A 50% deposit is required to confirm reservations. Balance due on or before October 1st or your deposits and dates will be forfeited. All forms of payment accepted. Cancellations forfeit deposits.
- Includes professional guide services for a half-day duck hunts or until limits achieved.
- Gratuities should be paid to guides after hunt. Bird processing available ($10/bird).

Silver/Economy Package
Guided Kansas Duck Hunts
$285 per hunter per day
Minimum of four hunters, with a maximum of eight
This package includes the hunt only, but at a lower rate of $285 per hunter per day, as these hunts take place outside of the company’s owned and managed habitat units. NOTE: silver hunts will not take place at our famous spots or timber holes, check out or Gold Package for those options!
With the Silver package, expect to shoot a variety of waterfowl, check out our Gold Package if you are looking for a Mallard specific shoot! Instead, our scouts actively track birds and secure seasonal or day leases in diverse locations, ranging from farm ponds to dry fields.
